WHAT WE DO
At Redeem Detroit, our mission is to breathe new life into the neighborhoods of Detroit. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, we are dedicated to revitalizing vacant properties and transforming them into vibrant spaces that benefit the local community.
We firmly believe in the power of second chances. By providing vocational and job readiness training to at-risk youth, teen parents, homeless veterans, and returning citizens, we empower them with the skills they need to thrive. Through entrepreneurship opportunities and job placements, we support their journey towards self-sufficiency while connecting them with essential resources.
In collaboration with our participants, we work together to clean up the neighborhood and eradicate blight. Through this collective effort, we create a safe and beautiful environment for everyone to enjoy.
PROJECT NOAH
Our program offers a comprehensive range of services to support young mothers attending Pathways Academy High School or those who have already graduated. These services include:
1. Transportation: We provide transportation services to ensure that young mothers can easily commute to school and access other program activities.
2. Daycare: We offer high-quality daycare services for the children of young mothers. This ensures that the mothers can focus on their studies and other program requirements, knowing that their children are receiving proper care and education.
3. Housing: We provide housing assistance to young mothers who may be facing housing instability or homelessness. This support helps create a stable and secure living environment for both the mothers and their children.
4. Food: We offer food assistance to ensure that young mothers and their children have access to nutritious meals. This helps alleviate any food insecurity they may be experiencing, enabling them to concentrate on their education and overall well-being.
5. Tutoring: We provide tutoring services to help young mothers with their academic studies. Our tutors offer one-on-one support and guidance in various subjects to ensure academic success.
6. Case Management: We offer case management services to young mothers, providing individualized support and guidance. Case managers help young mothers navigate through various challenges and connect them with resources and services that can assist them in achieving their goals.
7. Counseling: We provide counseling services to address the emotional and mental well-being of young mothers. Our counselors offer a safe and supportive space for young mothers to discuss their concerns, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies.
8. Financial Literacy: We offer financial literacy programs to equip young mothers with essential money management skills. This includes budgeting, saving, understanding credit, and other financial topics to promote financial independence and stability.
9. Job Training: We provide job training programs to help young mothers develop the necessary skills for employment. These programs focus on building job readiness skills, resume writing, interview preparation, and career exploration.
10. Other Wraparound Services: We offer additional wraparound services based on the specific needs of young mothers. These may include assistance with accessing healthcare services, parenting classes, life skills training, and opportunities for personal and professional development.
Our program aims to provide young mothers with comprehensive support, enabling them to complete their education, pursue post-secondary opportunities, and ultimately achieve employment and long-term success.
